SEPPIC’s brand of cosmetic active ingredients, wesource™, has developed LUMIPOD™, a smart melanin activator for a safe tan. LUMIPOD™ is a tan booster that stimulates melanin synthesis and its transfer from melanocytes to keratinocytes, without UV.

The new active ingredient, esterified Aminovector™, is a defined molecule, 100 percent from natural origin, COSMOS-approved, with stable and reproducible composition and strong performance.
In vivo tests have shown that LUMIPOD™ at 1 percent provides a better efficacy than acetyl tyrosine (market reference), with significantly visible results from 4 days (6 percent of tanning variation measured by ITA - Individual Typology Angle - on volunteers) and long-lasting effect (15 percent of variation maintained 15 days after the last product application).
