Addressing Cosmetic Industry’s Sustainability Challenges
Imerys Sustainability specialist, Juliette Cauchy, and Personal Care Sales Manager, Paul-Louis Lafargue will be highlighting the environmental advantages of using our ImerCare® Matte matting agent for creams and foundations over conventional microplastic-based ingredients.

A recent Life Cycle Assessment performed by PwC for Imerys and reviewed by independent experts compared the environmental impact of two mattifying agents used in creams and liquid foundations: ImerCare® Matte, a kaolin-based natural solution, and polymethyl methacrylate, a microplastic-based ingredient.
The study demonstrated a reduction in environmental impact when using ImerCare® Matte, for the same level of performance. The results of this study will be shared during the session.
