Azelis, an innovation service provider in the specialty chemicals and food ingredients industry, announced it has been recognized with the Cosmébio Ingredient Trophy for its extensive technical knowledge on CP Kelco’s KELCOSENS™ PiEL Citrus Fiber ingredient.
The award illustrates Azelis’ commitment to provide innovative solutions through comprehensive ingredient knowledge together with formulation expertise and seamless collaboration with their strategic principal CP Kelco.
The 2023 Cosmébio Ingredients Meeting enables ingredient suppliers to present their innovations to Cosmébio members and the Ingredient Trophy is an important part of this event.
Alternative to PEG-based & Synthetic Emulsifiers
Azelis received the Cosmébio Ingredient Trophy based on their technical knowledge of the principals’ product, which involves extensively assessing, conducting research on and analyzing each winning ingredient’s efficacy, functionality and sustainable characteristics. The Azelis France Personal Care teams selected
KELCOSENS™ PiEL Citrus Fiber to submit for the Trophy because of its excellent sustainable credentials, interest to consumers, and the uniqueness and value of the ingredient.
KELCOSENS™ PiEL Citrus Fiber is based on natural ingredients, made from local citrus peels - an abundant byproduct of the juice industry, and is a new environmentally friendly ingredient alternative to PEG-based and synthetic emulsifiers. This upcycled ingredient is COSMOS compliant and suitable for non-GMO, vegan, Kosher & Halal.
It can be used to enhance the stability of emulsions, suspensions, and foams. Products appear rich and smooth and are easy to apply from the bottle or tube onto the body. They have a smooth, silky, and non-sticky texture when applied to the skin and can be used alone or in combination with other natural gums to tune viscosity.
Azelis’ strong collaboration with CP Kelco, along with its reputation for delivering outstanding results, allowed Azelis to promote the principal’s products and recommend their ingredient for the 2023 Cosmébio Ingredient Trophy. This award further demonstrates the value Azelis brings to its principals as a partner in innovation with in-depth technical expertise.
