VOELPKER has announced that the company has been awarded the EcoVadis Silver Medal for its sustainability efforts, making it one of the best 11% of the rated companies.
VOELPKER is currently investing in new, energy-efficient production processes for its CEVO additives and is ISO 9001, ISO 14001 und ISO 5001 certified.
Increase Stability of Formulations
The products from the VOELPKER® Cosmetic + Pharma Series include the INCI-listed montan waxes, which are widely used in cosmetic formulations. They are used to influence the hardness and strength of decorative cosmetics.
Montan waxes also have an oil-binding effect, can increase the stability of formulations and improve skin protection. Due to the properties mentioned, WARADUR® and CEVO®-cos waxes can be used to reformulate formulations based on Candelilla wax or Carnauba wax.
In the previous evaluation period, VOELPKER has further improved the overall sustainability of its business activities. Through rigorous assessment, EcoVadis evaluated the companies' sustainability efforts in the areas of the environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
EcoVadis is one of the world's most comprehensive assessment tools for assessing sustainability in business and production. The methodology to carry out the classification and evaluation is based on international sustainability standards - ISO, GRI, UNGC and others.
