Sustainable Beauty Awards Announces Finalists for 2019

The Sustainable Beauty Awards 2019 finalists have been announced. The aim of the Sustainable Beauty Awards organized by Ecovia Intelligence is to give recognition to operators who are pushing the boundaries of sustainability in the beauty industry.

The finalists have been shortlisted by a judging panel comprising of natural products retailer, research firm, ingredients company, formulator, industry association, and media.

New Sustainable Product Finalists


This award is given to a new cosmetic or personal care product (range) with important sustainability credentials. The new sustainable product finalists are EcoTan Hand and Nail Cream, Hair O'right Hinoki Scalp Exfoliating Gel, Keracol Dr. Craft, Olivia Care Shampoo Bar, and Rhodes Skincare Products.

Sustainable Ingredient Finalists


This award is given to a cosmetic ingredient that makes a significant difference in terms of environmental and / or social impact. The sustainable ingredient finalists are Ashland Cb2 skin™ biofunctional, IFF Lucas Meyer Cosmetics SKINectura, Intika Myro PE, Pierre Fabre Green Native Expression of Aquatic Mint, RAHN AG CellActive®, and Sensient Cosmetic Technologies Natpure Xtra Longevity.

Sustainable Packaging Finalists


This award is given to a packaging format that has low environmental footprint, which could be in terms of production method, design and materials. The sustainable packaging finalists are Aveda, Bioaroma Crete, Henkel, Maiiro and PharmMatt.

Sustainability Pioneer Finalists


The sustainability pioneer award is given to an operator in the beauty industry that is a leader or pioneer in some aspect of sustainability. The sustainability pioneer finalists are AAK Personal Care, Boticario Group, Hair O'right International, Naturamus, and SERDEX.

Sustainability Leadership Finalists


This award is given to an organization leading in various aspects of sustainability. The operator is displaying overall leadership in sustainability and not mastering a few areas. The sustainability leadership finalists are Clariant, Hair O'right International, Heinz-Glas, REN Clean Skincare, and TCI Co.

The winner and runner-up in each award category will be announced at the Sustainable Beauty Awards reception in Paris on the evening of 4th November. The reception will take place at the Paris Marriott Champs Elysées hotel, hosted alongside the European edition of the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit.
