Scott Bader Reduces Its Scope 1 and 2 Emissions by 25.9%Scott Bader shares that in 2022, it reduced its Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 25.9% compared to the previous year.

Goal of 60% Emissions Reduction by 2025 and Carbon Zero by 2028

Alongside this significant reduction, Scott Bader has also reduced its greenhouse gas emissions intensity by 22.8% and reduced its water intensity per kt of product produced by 6%. Both statistics are taken from 2022 when compared to 2021.

These achievements are a big step towards achieving Scott Bader’s goals of a 60% emissions reduction by 2025 and carbon zero by 2028.

Scott Bader has hit these milestones by changing to a green energy supply at more of its sites and implementing a new tailored energy reduction plan for each of its manufacturing sites globally. The plans include moving towards green energy and installing solar supply where possible.

The global manufacturer is working to ensure its activities have the minimum negative impact on the natural environment, which is central to achieving its 2036 vision of having a net positive impact on the environment. To create a clear understanding of what this means, Scott Bader has a Sustainability Committee who makes sure that sustainability is integrated into its decision-making.
