The annual meeting is one of the premier events where stakeholders in the cosmetics and personal care community convene to share information, research and innovation impacting the future of the industry.

The SCC Call for Papers receives abstracts from the industry’s top professionals and subject matter experts on cutting edge research, technologies and trends in cosmetics and personal care,” said Erica O’Grady, CAE, executive director/CEO of the Society.

Topics for Podium Presentations

The 74th annual meeting is looking for submissions covering new or novel ingredient, process and formulation technologies; sustainability; regulatory; safety; and/or testing and claims, covering both basic and advanced knowledge levels within the following topic areas:

  • Beauty Personalization & Technology

  • Cosmetic Dermatology: Skin Microbiome & Epigenetics
  • Hair Care Innovation & Market Trends
  • Natural/Sustainable in Cosmetics & Personal Care
  • Sun Care and Beyond
  • Technologies & Trends in Ingredients
  • And Other Cutting-Edge Topics

As Chair of the Committee on Scientific Affairs, I am excited to work with the committee in developing another first-class technical education program. My goal for this year is to affirm the SCC’s Annual Meeting as the global education hub for cosmetic science. The hallmarks of this meeting are the collective industry expertise, scientific information, and peer networking you can’t get anywhere else,” said Zhi Li, L’Oréal USA.

Last year’s Annual Meeting convened more than 1,200 attendees for two days of cutting-edge scientific education and a showcase featuring more than 100 poster and table-top exhibits focused on new product innovations, raw materials and student research.

Our outstanding technical program is developed primarily from these submissions. In addition, we are celebrating the Society’s 75th Anniversary with special events planned for the meeting,” said O’Grady.
