in-cosmetics Global has announced the introduction of two brand-new award categories at the in-cosmetics Global Awards, sponsored by Kenvue. The Kenvue Trusted Science Award focuses on modern and efficacious ingredient innovations for consumers. The second award is the Sustainable Stand Award. It applauds exhibitors for using eco-conscious measures when they design and build their stands.
Kenvue Trusted Science Award
Exclusive to this year’s show, the organizers of in-cosmetics Global are introducing the Kenvue Trusted Science Award. This celebrates innovative and effective modern ingredients. Consumers can count on them every day.
The award will be sponsored and judged by an expert panel provided by one of the global consumer health leaders, Kenvue. It will recognize applicants' performances in areas such as how the entry addresses an unmet consumer need. It will look at the entry's credibility and if it is backed by scientific and/or clinical validation data. It will also consider responsible sourcing and more.
All submissions must be received by Friday, 1
st March 2024. The winners will be revealed on the 16
th April 2024 at the in-cosmetics Global Awards and After Party, also sponsored by Kenvue. The Gold Winner will be celebrated with industry recognition. The exclusive chance to meet with Kenvue leadership at the event, and the opportunity to connect with senior R&D and procurement experts.

Sustainable Stand Award
Also, there's the new Sustainable Stand Award. It's open to exhibitors with space-only stands. It will applaud companies who have actively used eco-conscious measures. They used them when designing and building their stands. This shows their commitment to reducing environmental impact. This award has been developed in response to key feedback from exhibitors to recognize the increasing number of exhibiting companies incorporating a sustainable approach to stand design.
Sustainability a key focus for the industry. It is one of the three core pillars of the in-cosmetics Global event. The introduction of this award aims to encourage more exhibitors to prioritize sustainable practices when planning their stand presence and promotion ahead of the event.
With the support and guidance of an esteemed panel of independent specialists in the sustainability field, the organizers have identified key aspects and specific criteria that each stand must adhere to. Considering environmental credentials, production, operations, and impact. Exhibitors will be scored based on what materials the stand uses and whether these are recyclable and renewable. They will also be scored on how they minimize energy consumption and waste. Each stand will also be judged based on criteria such as stand operation, emissions measurement, supplier choices, and governance.
The judges for the Award include Dr. Barbara Olioso, MRSC, managing director of The Green Chemist Consultancy; Piers Kelly, The Group Operations director of RX; and Winfried Mühling, marketing and communications director of Pro Carton, The European Association of Carton and Cartonboard manufacturers.
All submissions must be received by Tuesday 27
th February 2024 at 5 pm (GMT) to be considered. Exhibitors can fill out the application form. They can also use the RXUK Stand Emission Measurement Calculator. They can also provide supporting documents.
The winner will be announced at 18:00 on the 16
th April 2024. They will be presented with a trophy during the in-cosmetics Global Awards and After Party ceremony, sponsored by Kenvue.
