Givaudan has announced to acquire Alderys, French biotechnology company, to expand its capabilities in bio-engineering technologies. Alderys develops innovative approaches to the biological engineering of valuable compounds from renewable feedstock.
Acquisition Aligns with Givaudan’s Businesses
The projects developed by Alderys are aimed at the chemical and cosmetic industry sectors as well as nutrition. Alderys’ projects are recognized for offering innovative technological industrial solutions with high sustainability standards.
The acquisition aligns with Givaudan’s long-term strategy for active beauty and more specifically, Alderys expertise in biotechnology is fully complementary to Givaudan’s Fragrance and Active Beauty businesses.
