GEKA Elgin Receives EcoVadis Gold Medal for Its Sustainability EffortsThe medmix production site for GEKA in Elgin, Illinois, has been awarded an EcoVadis Gold Medal for 2022. This assessment places the site in the top 5% of all facilities assessed by EcoVadis.

Earning an ‘advanced’ rating in overall sustainability performance, medmix Beauty brand GEKA, one of the high-precision beauty applicators manufacturers has been certified for its sustainability achievements for the second consecutive year.

Sustainability Roadmap Contributing to Responsible Industry


Offering a comprehensive set of ratings, EcoVadis enables companies to reliably assess and benchmark their sustainability activities.

The overall score is based on the assessment of four separate categories. GEKA Elgin was rated in the top 12% for Environment, in the top 8% for both Sustainable Procurement and Labor & Human Rights, and in the top 6% for Ethics. With this strong performance, the Elgin site was awarded the Gold medal placing it in the top 5% of companies overall.

The EcoVadis Gold medal for Elgin adds to the EcoVadis Platinum medal for Bechhofen in Germany and is an important milestone on the brand’s sustainability roadmap contributing to a more responsible cosmetics industry.

In 2022, GEKA released its first Sustainability Report, outlining the commitment and progress toward its sustainability goals.
