ECKART to intensify focus on optical effects for beauty and personal care.
From January 1st, 2024, ECKART will strengthen its focus on effect pigments, fillers, and additives with optical properties for beauty and personal care.
Current Business with Rheology Additives Will Go Back to BYK
The current business with rheology additives will then go back to BYK. This is the result of a strategy reshuffle, which will allow both companies to focus on their own strengths and to better allocate resources.

We have done very well in the past years with the synergies between the additives and the effect pigments, but now that BYK wants to start its own journey in Cosmetics we can focus our resources on further growth with our effect pigments; on the expansion of our SYNAFIL and ECOFIL filler brands and with exciting new projects,” according to Paloma Moya del Valle, global head of Cosmetics at ECKART.

In this new phase, we will certainly profit from the formulation and trouble-shooting capabilities that we have developed in the last years, which go beyond the typical skills of a pigment manufacturer. This will undoubtedly provide advantages for both our customers and business partners in upcoming projects”.
In the next weeks, ECKART will proceed to align with business partners and customers to ensure a smooth transition at the end of the year.
