CMPC Ventures and Boreal Bioproducts® have signed an agreement of cooperation. The objectives for the cooperation are to exploit CMPC’s woody side streams with Boreal Bioproducts®'s PHWE technology platform.
The aim is to produce novel carbohydrate and phenolic compounds. Further develop those to sustainable applications, and to substitute fossil ingredients. Boreal Bioproducts®’s process is based entirely on using water as a solvent and renewable bioenergy source, hence with a minimal GHG impact.
Turn Extra Forest Industry Material into Valuable Ingredients

These saw and pulp milling side streams are plentiful, with loads of growth possibilities. Boreal Bioproducts® is a Finland-based biorefinery startup. Its mission is to turn extra forest industry material into valuable ingredients. These will be used in the personal care and chemical industries. It enables the transition towards bioeconomy. The growing offering of ingredients consists of
