Clariant has announced the establishment of a strategic partnership with Plant Advanced Technologies (PAT) to develop plant-based active ingredients for cosmetics. The partnership includes the subscription of approximately 10 percent equity shares of PAT by Clariant, joint development agreement and exclusive distribution ship.
Combine Strengths to Create Innovative Products
The partnership will bring together Clariant’s sales and marketing expertise of active ingredients business with PAT’s research strengths in discovering and producing precious compounds from plant roots. These strengths will be combined for the development of new premium products and will reach the market through Clariant’s global network.
