Dimethicone. BELSIL® DM 20 by Wacker is an emollient. It is a linear, non-reactive and unmodified polydimethylsiloxane. Exhibits low surface tension and a high spreading coefficient. Due to their flexible polymer backbone, dimethicones have high permeability to gases (water vapor & oxygen), which allows respiration of the skin. It minimizes stickiness and whitening. Imparts a hydrophobic, protective and breathable barrier to the skin. Used in antiperspirants/ deodorants, color cosmetics, shaving, skin care, hair styling and sunscreens. BELSIL® DM 20 conforms to REACH, ECL, ENCS, AICS, IECSC, DSL, PICCS, TSCA and TCSI regulations.
