Cetyl Dimethicone. Silwax® Sustain 5116 by Siltech is a low viscosity alkyl dimethicone-based emollient. It is a more sustainable version of the standard Silwax® B116, as the alkyl component is derived from plant sources rather than petroleum-based feedstocks. It offers excellent spreadability, gloss and pleasing sensorial in personal care applications.

It imparts barrier properties and superior skin conditioning in skin care products.
In sun care formulations, it provides enhanced oil compatibility which translates to a considerable surface tension reduction.
It reduces white-cast rub-out time for sunscreens using inorganic UV filters, and imparts SPF boost for blended sunscreens using both organic & inorganic UV filters.
Silwax® Sustain 5116 is suitable for formulating color cosmetics, lotions, creams, antiperspirants and deodorants.
It has a shelf life of 36 months.
