Cocos nucifera (Coconut) Oil. Acts as an anti-oxidant. Because of its high saturated fat content, it is stable and has a long shelf life. It readily absorbed into the skin due to its small molecular structure. It has high levels of antioxidants which, when the oil is used as an ingredient in cosmetic formulations, may help protect against free radical formation, and consequent damage to the skin. Used in dry skin and hair formulations.
