Use of 13-Hydroxy-9,11-Octadecadienoic Acid for Tanning Human Skin

It is known that the expression of the POMC gene in keratinocytes is activated by UV radiation. POMC is the precursor of .alpha.-MSH, a main activator of melanocytes.
