Requests from Internal Marketing Departments Still the Main Driver for Product Development

The following question compared how product development priorities are defined at the various companies that the community members work for is another Click'n'Vote question posed to the SpecialChem Community which was presented in February, 2011. The highest response at 34.1% dealt with Requests from the Internal Marketing Department at a company. Historically, this has been the most common new product development direction practiced by many of the larger companies in the cosmetics and personal care industry as well as some small companies if they are structured as such.
