Origins Launches Recycling Program

Origins Cosmetics is providing a practical purpose for the empty cosmetic bottles, lipstick tubes and other packaging paraphernalia that consumers have previously tossed in the trash. On April 2, 2009, the nature's skin care brand launched its nationwide cosmetics recycling program, called the Return to Origins Recycling Program, which coincided with the celebration of Earth Month. Originally founded in 1970, and celebrated annually each April, Earth Month marks the new dawning of an environmentally friendly collective consciousness and encourages the creation and support of earth-friendly initiatives that protect the planet.Did you know that everyday packaging accounts for approximately 1/3 of all landfill waste?
