In-cosmetics, the raw ingredient show for the cosmetics industry, took place in Milan on 29-31 March 2011. Sustainable beauty was a major theme for the marketing trends presentations and was also the theme of the in-focus feature, which was sponsored by Beraca.
There were two round table discussions on the sustainability theme, which covered Life Cycle Analysis and Eco Design –Achieving a Positive Environmental Impact. Business director, Beraca, Felipe Sabará called for a global standard for sustainability that consumers understand. In addition, there was general agreement for the need for transparency across the supply chain from “cradle to grave”.
