An apothecary approach is the forté of Anthousa, whose collection was born from a century-old, family-owned essential oil company. Maria Christofilis is the founder and creative director of Anthousa Home Ambiance Collection, a new fragrance line that marries the founder's design experience with her passion for fragrance. Incorporating her Mediterranean roots, the line features Fig Leaf and Bitter Almond from the island of Evvia, in its Orchard Collection; Citrus Grove and Pomegranate, from the Amalfi coast, in its Citrus Collection; and floral blends including White Gardenia, Athenian Orchid and Jasmine, Cliff Rose and White Carnation, in its Blossom Collection. Sacred Myrrh is also featured, with jasmine and myrrh, for balance and spirit; Chinoiserie, with musk, spices and exotic florals, for healing, calm and serenity; and a new Perfume Oil Trio Eau de Parfum selection, for the skin, which is the company's first foray into personal fragrances.
