Eye Area Dark Circles – A Complex Problem

SpecialChem / Nick Morante – Jul 19, 2007

I sat with a supplier a few weeks ago on my trip to California for the SCC meeting. We discussed a lot of personal stuff as well as some technical information that I was going to take to a client. The information we talked about was so critical to the current trends I the industry that I had to bring this information to our readers. I thank my friends at D D Chemco in Chatsworth, California for allowing me the time to sit and discuss this important subject. While discussing anti-aging and wrinkle hiding, the issue of dark circles in the eye area came up first and foremost. In order to come up with the correct solution we must approach the problem with an understanding of the unique nature of this area. Dark circles in the eye area are a complex problem because they are several causes and therefore the correct solution requires an understanding of the causes and a so each aspect is addressed. What made this a little more difficult was the fact that I wanted this information for an anhydrous product - a hot-pour product with no water.
