Do Japanese Women Age?

With its many beauty secrets to keep its population looking young, Japan is the leading market for anti-ageing at several levels. Combine this with the world's highest longevity rate, an increase in women’s participation in the country's society, the trend focusing on “bare skin (suhada)”, a long whitening cultural history plus a traditional eating habit to maintain beautiful skin longer and it is no wonder the Japanese don't seem to age much. Many new brands from different industries, private labels and online ones have been launched recently to tap into the Japanese skincare market. Companies from different industries are currently utilizing their expertise for cosmetics. Also, many brands are offering anti-ageing skincare using their medical science, ingredients, manufacturing technology and delivery systems. According to Mintel Beauty Innovation, Japan has recently seen the highest growth rate in anti ageing cosmetics.
