Children's Products - Part 1

SpecialChem / Nick Morante – Jan 18, 2007

What people rarely talk about, or even get a chance to read about, are products geared towards children. I'm not talking about the teen market, which is very well defined and positioned within the industry with set products and ad campaigns. I'm not talking about that younger market that has its own trends and direction and sales volume that is followed by marketing groups. I am talking about products geared specifically towards a very young audience. This audience probably is too young to know what the products are or do, nor is this audience even capable of purchasing products for themselves. Let's put it this way, this audience probably doesn't have acne yet. Nor does it have to worry about having dandruff. It doesn't need depilatories or use shave cream. But there are some products that are specifically geared towards this audience and these products need to be formulated with as much care (or with even more care) as any other cosmetic products. Safe ingredients must be used. Care must be taken in how the products are delivered.
