Beauty is in the Eyes of the Beholder

SpecialChem / Nick Morante – Nov 1, 2007

In all my years of formulating color cosmetics I never gave much thought to the application and final appearance of a person wearing my products, or for any products for that matter. The way women apply cosmetics is strictly an emotional and individualistic experience. The end result must always lead to the ultimate satisfaction of that individual. Only then will they know if they really look good or not. And if they are satisfied with the application and look good in their own eyes, then they will feel good as well. Products should be applied so that the wearer looks natural and almost has the appearance of not having on any cosmetics at all. There are some people who do not need to wear any makeup because their skin is so close to perfection and they look equally as good with it or without it. Then there are some instances where makeup products are applied and almost "painted" on with a line at the lower jaw line where the makeup stops and the real skin begins. It almost looks like the person is wearing a mask.
