PHENYLHEXANOL

Benzenepentanol, .gamma.-methyl-. Acts as a fragrance ingredient. It has a transparent floral rose and muguet note with a slight green aspect. Gives good effect at a low level (e.g. 1%) yet can be used with excellent results up to 20%. Because of its soft flowery note it can be used in all perfume types. Although not a strong material the presence of PHENYLHEXANOL is noticeable throughout the fragrance. Extremely long lasting and more tenacious than phenylethyl alcohol. Contains no stabilizer. It shows tenacity for 2 weeks on a smelling strip. It is used in fine fragrances, shampoo, shower gel, soap, etc.
