Lanolin BP2000

Lanolin BP2000 by Wujiang Fanrong Chemical is an emollient, skin smoothing & repairing agent. It is a wax that is a complex mixture of naturally occurring esters (98%) and polyesters of 33 high molecular weight alcohols (principally sterols) and 36 fatty acids. Acts as a self-emulsifier, producing very stable w/o emulsions with water and plays role in skin (integumental) hygiene. Maintains the important hydration (moisture balance) of the stratum corneum and thus, prevents drying and chapping of the skin. Skin bioengineering studies have shown its efficiency in reducing roughness by about 35% after one hour and 50% after two hours. According to clinical studies, it is significantly superior to petrolatum in assisting the healing of superficial wounds. Possesses repairing properties, reducing the signs and symptoms of dryness and scaling, cracks and abrasions, and pain and itch. Shows increased adhesion to dry skin, and forming protective semi-occlusive films on the skin. Regulates the rate of trans-epidermal water loss and governs the hydration state of the skin. Protects the wool and skin against the ravages of climate and the environment. Lanolin BP2000 is a pale yellow product, insoluble in water and soluble in aqueous ethanol. Recommended for skin care products and lip balms.
