Dimethicone. BELSIL® DM 500000 by Wacker is an unmodified polydimethylsiloxane. It is a linear, non-reactive styling agent. Exhibits low surface tension and a high spreading coefficient. Imparts a hydrophobic, protective but breathable barrier to the skin. BELSIL® DM 500000 is used in antiperspirants/ deodorants, color cosmetics, hair care, shaving, skin care and sunscreen. Due to their flexible polymer backbone, dimethicones have high permeability to gases which allows respiration of the skin. It reduces stickiness and whitening. Imparts a soft emolliency to the skin. It is designed for use in shampoos, conditioners, eye- & lip-make up, skin care, hair styling, make-up foundation and sun care. It imparts humidity resistance and enhanced shine. It can prevent stickiness.
