Dimethicone. BELSIL® DM 100 by Wacker is a linear, non-reactive and unmodified polydimethylsiloxane. Acts as an emollient. Exhibits low surface tension and a high spreading coefficient. It minimizes stickiness and whitening. Imparts a hydrophobic, protective and breathable barrier to the skin. Due to their flexible polymer backbone, dimethicones have high permeability to gases (water vapor & oxygen), which allows respiration of the skin. Used in antiperspirants/ deodorants, color cosmetics, shaving, skin care and sunscreens. It is designed for use in eye- & lip-make-up and foundations. BELSIL® DM 100 meets REACH, ECL, ENCS, AICS, IECSC, DSL, PICCS, TSCA and TCSI regulations.
