Castorwax®

Hydrogenated castor oil. Castorwax® acts as a thickener and emollient prepared by the controlled hydrogenation of edible castor oil. It also reduces transepidermal water loss and hydrates the skin through humectancy. It is a hard, brittle, high melting point wax that is insoluble in most organic solvents but is highly compatible with most resins and waxes. Castorwax® is recommended for use in cosmetics and toiletries, antiperspirant sticks, lipstick, sunscreens, etc.
