Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside. PlantaSol CCG by The Herbarie acts as a non-ionic surfactant and solubilizer. It is a glucolipidic (sugar-based), PEG-free and non-ethoxylated vegetable derived product. It exhibits high solubilizing power for essential- and fragrance oils. It is compatible with cationics and high surfactant systems and is tolerant of salts and alkaline solutions. It boosts foaming and works synergistically to build viscosity. It serves as a key ingredient in make-up remover formulas or gentle facial cleansers. It can be used as a co-emulsifier in leave-on products such as lotions and creams. PlantaSol CCG finds application in formulating shampoos, body washes and liquid soaps.
