Hovenia Dulcis Fruit Extract. SGS-Plus by The Garden of Naturalsolution acts as an anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-oxidant and anti-allergic agent. It is an extract of the fruit of hovenia, hovenia dulcis. It contains saponin, dihydroflavonols, ampelopsin and phenolic compounds as active constituents. Ampelopsin exhibits free radical and superoxide anion scavenging activity. Moreover, it has triterpene glycoside, hovenidulcioside I-IV, which shows anti-allergic activity by preventing the release of histamine. SGS-Plus finds application in formulating cosmetic products.
