Sodium Methyl 2-Sulfolaurate (and) Disodium 2-Sulfolaurate. ALPHA-STEP® MC-48 by Stepan Company is an anionic surfactant derived from oleochemicals. It functions as a hydrotrope capable of solubilizing high active systems.

It performs well in hard water, having favorable hard water tolerance and lime soap dispersing ability.
It is a readily soluble liquid that can easily be formulated between pH 4 and 9.
It is used in hand soaps and hand wash.
ALPHA-STEP® MC-48 is readily biodegradable, preservative-free, sulfate-free, EO PO-free and Kosher certified product.
