Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate. BIO-TERGE® AS-40K by Stepan Company is an ideal surfactant. It provides excellent viscosity and foam characteristics. This ingredient offers improved mildness over lauryl sulfates. It is readily biodegradable and is more stable than alcohol sulfates over a broad pH range. BIO-TERGE® AS-40K is used in hand soaps, shampoos, and bath products.
