SpecChem Salicylic acid

Salicylic acid. It is best known for its use in anti-acne treatments. Besides keratolysis, the acidifying and anti-inflammatory properties of salicylic acid are also believed to be responsible for the good anti-acne effect of salicylic acid. Offers moisturizing, anti-fungal, analgetic, UV-absorbing and anti-pruritic effects. Used in skin-whitening lotions, creams, milky lotions, facial packs, scalp care cosmetics. Salicylic acid is approved for non-prescription anti-acne products at concentrations from 0.5-2%.
