Silube® 316

Lauryl, bis-hydroxymethyl butyl propyl ether, dimethicone. Silube® 316 by Siltech is a PEG- & PPG-free, unique multi-hydroxyl functional silicone which acts as a medium HLB emulsifier. It has no ethoxylated components. It stabilizes water-in-oil and water-in-silicone emulsions. It provides novel features, textures and light skin feeling. It is compatible with electrolytes, UV filters, pigments/colors, powders and other active ingredients. It also enhances pigment dispersion which minimizes complexity and costs. It can be used in both cold and hot processes. Recommended for formulating sunscreens, make-up, complex emulsion systems, creams, liquid foundations and 2-in-1 creams. Silube® 316 is also used in mascaras, lipsticks, lip glosses, mousse foundations and eye products. The shelf life of this ingredient is 36 months.
