Technical DataSheet | Supplied by Sasol in-cosmetics global 2018

Synthetic Wax. TITANEL by Sasol acts as a consistency regulator, binder and film former. It is a high-performance synthetic hard wax. It is derived from natural gas. It is inert and neutral, nonpolar excipient with no allergens. It provides effective crystallization for reliable stick production processes. It offers proper film formation, gloss and temperature stability enhancement in formulations. It stabilizes emulsions and improves temperature resistance, even in sunscreen formulations. It contains no preservatives or antioxidants. TITANEL forms stable oil gels and improves the oil binding capacity with many other widely used cosmetic components and in particular with linear silicones. It is used in creams, ointments and balms for body-, lip- and hair care products as well as in all stick applications including antiperspirant, deodorants and lipsticks. It is compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation and FDA 21 CFR 175.250. It has a shelf life of 5 years.
