Petrolatum. MERKUR 546 by Hywax is a carrier, consistency regulator and emollient. It is an ointment-like heat resistant, homogeneous mixture of high-purity, hydrogenated, predominantly saturated hydrocarbons. It protects skin from dehydration and reduces desiccation. Moreover, it contains an antioxidant for stability. MERKUR 546 is used in skin creams and ethnic hair care & hair relaxer. It meets Ph.Eur., PAH, ICH (CPMP/ICH/283/95) and Cosmetics Europe Recommendation No. 14 (oral & lip care).
