Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil. Sunflower Oil, ORGANIC by SanaBio is an emollient, fragrance and conditioning agent. This fatty oil is expressed and filtered from the peeled, sometimes grounded seeds of the sunflower. It is free from allergens, GMO, parabens, preservatives, SVHC, formaldehyde and solvent residue. It is vegan with no animal materials in contact. In contrast to the oleic acid-rich organic sunflower oil, this oil contains a high proportion of polyunsaturated linoleic acid that supports skin tolerance. Sunflower Oil, ORGANIC is therefore often used as a carrier oil for other active ingredients or essential oils in cosmetics. It is used in creams, ointments and massage oils. It is stable as it has a favorable fatty acid spectrum and vitamin E content. It also serves as a cheaper alternative to olive or peanut oil. The shelf life is 16 months.
