Pelemol® 256

Relatively dry emollient ester that functions as a broad spectrum solvent. Particularly helpful in solubilzing chemical sunscreens. It is also an effective plasticizer for acrylic polymer in nail lacquers. In cosmetic formulations, it adds slip and reduces drag. This property is especially noted in hair sprays, creams and lotions, and make-up products.
