The panthenol moiety attached to the dimethicone copolyol phosphate backbone provides not only shine but also will exert its moisturizing and protecting effects to hair. Because of its solubility in water it can be easily incorporated into shampoos, conditioners (rinse-off or leave-on) and hair styling products.
