Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter. TrueShea™ Fair Trade by OLVEA acts as a moisturizing agent. It possesses anti-inflammatory properties and makes the skin softer & more supple. It protects the skin from free radicals & oxidation and encourages epidermal regeneration & skin elasticity. This butter is extracted from shea nuts by mechanical pressure followed by a refining. It contains exceptionally rich unsaponifiable matter (kariten, phytosterols, triterpens, terpene alcohol and tocopherols). It reduces the trans epidermal water loss by forming a protective film and the skin is protected from external aggressions. It is highly rich in oleic and stearic acid. Stearic acid gives its texture & melting characteristics and oleic acid is an excellent emollient. It is suitable for sensitive or weakened and dry skin. TrueShea™ Fair Trade is used in skin-, after-sun-, lip-, hand-, sun-, hair care and lip balms & lipsticks. Also, used in soaps, conditioner, dry & dehydrated hair, shampoo and baby formulations. It is COSMOS approved. The shelf life of this ingredient is 24 months as from the date of manufacture.
