Cyclopentasiloxane. DC 9040 by McKinley Resources as a thickening agent for water-in-oil and water-in-silicone formulations. It is a cold processable silicone elastomer blend that improves lipophilic active ingredients such as fragrances, sunscreens and vitamins. It is easy to formulate and reduces tackiness. It is readily absorbed by the skin and has a light, silky and non-greasy feel. DC 9040 is designed for antiperspirant & deodorant, skin care applications such as sunscreen & color cosmetics and hair care like styling aids.
