It is produced by reacting n-hexadecylamine with methyl chloride in the presence of sodium hydroxide. It possesses anti-static- & detangling properties along with mild anti-microbial properties. It has good emulsifying properties, which make it able to mix oil and water. It is especially effective for softening coarse hair. It shows excellent compatibility with non-ionic & cationic surfactants and most polar solvents. Cetrimonium Chloride is used in hair conditioners & shampoos, hair rinses and anti-frizz products. It is vegan certified and GMO- & preservative-free. The shelf life is 24 months.
