SilSense® PE-100 silicone

Dimethicone PEG-8 Phosphate. SilSense® PE-100 silicone by Lubrizol is an emulsifier, foam enhancer, pigment dispersant and conditioner. It is a water-soluble, anionic silicone prepared by the reaction of PEG-8 dimethicone with polyphosphoric acid. It can be easily formulated into clear systems, without the need for an elaborate emulsification or stabilization system. It aids solubilization of other ingredients and mitigates irritancy of quats in formulations. It co-emulsifies and stabilizes oil-in-water emulsions. It improves detangling, wet and dry combability and provides excellent skin feel. SilSense® PE-100 silicone is used in body lotions/creams/gels, body wash, conditioners, facial cleansers, hand soap, shampoo, sun care and styling products.
