Carbopol® 1382 polymer

Acrylates/C-10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer. Carbopol® 1382 polymer by Lubrizol acts as a rheology modifier, thickener and suspending agent. It is polymerized in a toxicologically-preferred co-solvent system. It is an effective suspending and stabilizing agent for use in specialty shampoos, where dandruff actives must be permanently suspended and immiscible conditioning agents must be effectively stabilized. Moreover, it is a light gellant for systems containing electrolytes, anionic and amphoteric surfactants, and ethyl or isopropyl alcohols. It offers excellent clarity in hydroalcoholic gels and rich creamy feel in formulated products. Moreover, it provides resistance to dissolved electrolytes making it suitable for low surfactant formulations (<10% active). It offers high compatibility with anionic surfactants imparting thickening and yield value. Carbopol® 1382 polymer is used in shampoos, anti-dandruff shampoos, hydroalcoholic gels and fragrance gels. Also, used in body lotions/ creams/ gels, hand sanitizer, insect repellant, intimate & mild cleansers, wipes and styling products. Apart from this, it is used in eye-, facial-, hand/foot and sun care products.
