Carbopol® 1342 polymer

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Lubrizol in-cosmetics global 2020
Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer. Carbopol® 1342 polymer by Lubrizol acts as a thickener, rheology modifier and suspending agent. It is an alkyl acrylate crosspolymer that flows freely as a powder. It provides pseudoplastic rheology which is useful in formulating pourable products that contain suspended, incompatible ingredients or for providing stable emulsions. It is uniquely suitable for aqueous solutions or dispersions containing low levels of dissolved salts. It shows high compatibility with anionic surfactants imparting thickening and yield value. It offers excellent clarity in hydroalcoholic gels and rich creamy feel in formulated products. Moreover, it provides resistance to dissolved electrolytes making it suitable for low surfactant formulations (<10% active). Carbopol® 1342 polymer is used in antiperspirant/deodorant, body lotions/creams/gels, body washes, conditioners, facial cleansers, hair colors and hand sanitizers. Also, used in hand soaps, intimate cleansers, mild cleansers, shampoos, styling products, sun care formulas and wipes.
