Avalure™ Flex-6 polymer

Polyurethane-62 (and) Trideceth-6. Avalure™ Flex-6 polymer acts as an emulsifier, pigment dispersant, film former and co-thickener. It provides value added benefits like HLB independent emulsification, high compatibility with metal oxides such as titanium dioxide or zinc oxide, pH and electrolyte tolerant thickening and excellent water resistance. Avalure™ Flex-6 polymer has a unique surfactant-like interaction when dispersed in water which leads to moderate thickening of the aqueous phase. Because of the amphiphilic nature of the polymer, it has oil-in-water emulsifying capabilities. The polymer disperses both hydrophilic and hydrophobic pigments for example treated and untreated zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. It provides unique and favorable properties to film such as low gloss, water-resistance and excellent skin feel. It offers very good sensory properties. It can be easily incorporated using cold or hot process. It is used to formulate efficient skin care, sun care and color cosmetics, while replacing other functional ingredients, and yielding to simpler formulations.
