Benzyl Alcohol. Kalama® Benzyl Alcohol NF/FCC by LANXESS (previously Emerald Kalama Chemical) is a fragrance fixative and preservative. It is used in conjunction with parabens and methylisothiazolinone. It is best known for its low volatility and toxicity. It is also a raw material in the manufacture of its various esters, which are used in soap and perfume. Suitable in various cosmetics and personal care products. Kalama® Benzyl Alcohol NF/FCC has a shelf life of 24 years.
