Polyethylene. Kostene C-30 #275 by Koster Keunen acts as a wax/ consistency factor, thickener, sunscreen enhancer, pigment dispenser and viscosity modifier. It also functions as a film former, waterproof agent, gelling agent and barrier. It is a low molecular weight polyethylene. When used in conjunction with volatile oils & solvents such as cyclomethicones, isopar and isododecane, it adds hardness and slip to formulations. Kostene C-30 #275 is used in formulating cosmetic products. It has a shelf life of 2 years.
